Approving and Disapproving Ride Requests

A case worker supervisor or other person who is authorized to approve ride requests will see a set of buttons similar to those shown below in the History and Approval section of a ride profile.

To approve a ride request, just click on the Approve button. The Approve Ride Request page will appear as shown below:

On this page you may enter some notes about the approval that will be added to the ride profile history. You may select to send an email to the person who requested the ride letting them know that his has been approved. You may also send an email to a volunteer dispatcher letting her know that a volunteer driver is needed for the ride. Confirm your approval of the ride by clicking on the Yes button. After you do so the status of the ride will be changed to Approved and the information in the History and Approval section of the ride profile will be updated to reflect this change.

 

To disapprove a ride request, just click on the Disapprove button. The Disapprove Ride Request page will appear as shown below:

Here also you may enter some notes about the disapproval that will be added to the ride profile history. You may select to send an email to the person who requested the ride letting them know that his has been disapproved. Confirm the disapproval of the ride by clicking on the Yes button. The status of the ride will be changed to Disapproved and the information in the History and Approval section of the ride profile will be updated to reflect this change.
